CLIMATE CHANGE
Food,
clothing, and shelter. These are some of the basic needs that we need to
survive. But how can we aim these basic needs if there are problems that trap
us through the right path?
Our country faces so many problems, especially environmental problems. Last October 15, hundreds of people died and were buried alive due to a magnitude 7.2 earthquake in Bohol. Thousands of people also died and still not found because of the super typhoon Yolanda that hit Visayas. Millions of properties were destroyed and taken by these calamities.
Climate
change. It is a significant and
lasting change in the statistical distribution of weather patterns over periods
ranging from decades to millions of years. It may be a change in average
weather conditions, or in the distribution of weather around the average
conditions.
Yes.
We may say that it’s because of climate change. But, isn’t it that it is our
fault why this climate change is happening? Climate change is caused by factors
such as biotic processes, variations in solar radiation received by Earth,
plate tectonics, and volcanic eruptions. Certain human activities have also
been identified as significant causes of recent climate change, often referred
to as "global warming".
Our
leaders are seeking solution how to cure theses problems and how to rebuild our
country. especially those who were victims of calamities. They say that,
“Prevention is better that cure.” But since some us were not thinking about
what will happen next in our wrongdoings, we haven’t prevented it. Cure is the
only way to solve our problem. But like when we cure our wounds, it will stay
as a scar and will never be removed.
